FREE Bible Emoji Games

I created these Bible Emoji Games for our middle school Sunday School class to use, so I thought I’d go ahead and share it with you!

This is an engaging game that’s sure to please! One way to reach the next generation is to use their “lingo” and integrate it with some Bible review. This is exactly what these Bible emoji games do!

Included in this FREE download are two games, one for each of the Bible testaments with 12 different emoji “stories” on each page.

Included in the Old Testament game are events such as Jonah and the big fish, Joshua and Jericho, Samson the Judge, and the six days of creation. The New Testament page includes events such as Jesus’ death and resurrection, various parables of Jesus, various miracles of Jesus, as well as Judas betraying Jesus.

Generally speaking, they move from easiest to hardest.

The download includes an answer key just in case you aren’t sure.

When I introduced this to our middle school class, we did the first one together as an example. Once they got the hang of it, I told them they could work in pairs or by themselves. If you teach a very large group, you could display the PDF on a screen so everyone can see. {This saves you on printing so many copies, as the emojis only come in color.} Learners could work in small groups to solve each one.

A Quick Word of Caution:

Try to remove Bible story/Bible stories from your vocabulary. For so many of our younger generation, the word story implies something is make believe. Try to use other words or phrases such as Bible events, Bible accounts, or people from the Bible {not characters}.
This is not a hard and fast rule, but something I try to keep in the back of my mind. If I do ever say Bible story, I always try to remember to remind kids that these are TRUE EVENTS IN HISTORY that really took place. These are REAL PEOPLE IN HISTORY who really did live.
