FREE Summer Bible Reading Plans
Summer is a GREAT time to get kids in the habit of reading God’s Word! Because most kids don’t have the added pressure of schoolwork, it’s a wonderful time to get reading God’s Word every day.
If your kiddos need or desire a reward outside of learning God’s Word and building an awesome habit, consider adding an extra incentive into the mix. Some ideas may include: go to a waterpark, go out for ice cream, or even stickers.
These summer Bible reading plans begin on June 1 and end on August 31. {That’s 92 days!} They are great for kids ages 2nd grade and up. Really, any child who can read on their own can do it. If you have younger kids, consider reading it to them each day. Accountability, baby!
You’ll find eight reading plans from both the Old and New Testaments for nearly all the books of the Bible including:
1. The Law (Genesis-Deuteronomy)
2. History (Joshua-Esther)
3. Psalms and Proverbs
4. Major Prophets (Isaiah-Daniel)
5. Minor Prophets (Hosea-Malachi)*
6. The Gospels (Matthew-John)
7. Acts & Paul’s Epistles (Acts –Philemon)
8. The Epistles & Prophecy (Hebrews-Revelation)**
*This reading plan includes reading through all the minor prophets and then some cross reference reading between the OT and NT.
**Hebrews , James, and Revelation are read twice in this plan to fill in all 92 days.
