Disclaimer: I hesitate a bit calling this a “Bible Story” matching game, as “story” gives the impression that these events are made up. When teaching kids, I typically use the term “Bible events” and “people from the Bible” instead of “Bible characters.” My goal in using the term, “Bible story” is simple to help people find it easier when they search on the web.
Bible Story Match and Order Game
This game is very simple. It is a fun and challenging way to review Bible events from both the Old Testament and New Testament. It also gives learners a chance to use their Bibles and review the Bible timeline and the overarching story of the Bible.
To play, follow these directions:
- Cut apart the event picture cards, story event word cards, and Scripture passage cards for the Old Testament or New Testament.
- Match the picture cards to the story event cards.
- Then, look up the Scripture passages and read them to match them with the correct Bible event (or story).
- As an extra challenge, learners can try to place the events in the order in which they happened.
